An Angel comes to me in a dream with a message.

Next there is the one testimony where God put in my spirit to make sure that my best friend since 3rd grade understood that God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost are all one and the same. There are not 3 separate entities. That is like saying that my mom, who is your aunt and the sister to your father are 3 different people. How odd would that thought be? Put on your seatbelt. This is one wild ride of a testimony.

It all began with a conversation I had with my best childhood friend V., who is more like a sister to me. We had been talking about religion and I asked her if she had been baptized in Jesus’ Name. Acts 19:4-5. She said she had been baptized but in the name of the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit. She also said that she believed there were 3, as opposed to 3 parts of the one God.  I told her that she needed to be baptized in the Name of Jesus and that The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost were all one and the same, not three separate entities.  She asked me to prove it. So I began my attempt to prove it. I wanted and needed to minister the truth to my sister. So I gave her scriptures that I thought would prove it. As I made my attempts, using scripture, she would find ways knock them down saying that it could be translated this way or that way. No matter what scripture I shared, there was always a “but” from her. Of which I understand fully. Spiritual beliefs and or religion should never be taken lightly. So her questioning was just, but frustrating for me.

Until one day, while I was in church, I began to pray. “God, if this is your will, please, give me a scripture she cannot dissect or interpret any other way”. It was at that point that the pastor stood and began to share Isaiah 9:6. “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The Prince of Peace.”

Isaiah 9:6

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

I asked her, who is the Prince of Peace? Which child was born and given unto us? One Name, Jesus.  If Jesus is the child born unto us, then why does this scripture also say He is the mighty God? The “Everlasting Father”? It was at that point where she said… “You did your homework”. All in one scripture… there it was. But then I warned her… still, don’t take my word for it, because when God has a message for you, with two or more witnesses, His Word will be established. He will come to you with the same message in more ways as verification.

2 Corinthians 13:1
“This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.”

It was then that God spoke to me and said that I needed to go to her and get her baptized in Jesus’ Name. I remember thinking… But God, I was just there for Thanksgiving, now you want me to go back for Christmas? Do I need to remind you that I am a single mother on Welfare living check to check? I had to save to take the trip to the state she lived in, for Thanksgiving. Where will I get the money? All the while I knew that He would provide, even if it was nearly Christmas already.

Meanwhile, I had a dream. In the dream I was with my sister who had just given birth. I was holding the baby when suddenly this newly born babe began to talk. I was shocked! I was excited! I began to share this wonderful news! This baby was just born and she can already talk! It’s a miracle!! I wanted everyone to know about this amazing thing that just happened. Then I turned around and the baby turned into a full grown woman. I was confused. She understood my confusion and said… “I am an Angel. I came to you as a babe because that is part of the message.” Then she held out a photo album and said, “See each person in each of these pictures? They are all me. I come in different forms depending on the message. And I need to let you know that you have five days to get things right.” At which point I awoke and thought…. “Oh God! I’m going to die in five days!!!!” Well, wouldn’t you have thought the same? It was an understandable assumption.

That next morning, being disabled, I used paratransit to get to and from work. The guy that picked me up each day got to hear the story of my dream. He wondered too what that meant about me having only five days to get things right. It sounded so ominous. And that fact that an angel gave me the message was so foretelling.

A week later it was nearly Christmas and I was on my way with my son to see my sister-friend for Christmas. Yes, of course, God made a way. Did you ever doubt? Once I arrived at her house, I sat at the kitchen table and she told me to take a look at the Christmas card she had just gotten in the mail. On it was the Isaiah 9:6 Scripture. “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given…” And I looked at her and said…. “I told you, don’t take my word for it, because with 2 or more witnesses, His word will be established.” We both laughed about it and I was given the unction to begin to start calling churches. I wanted a church that would baptize her in Jesus’ Name AND on demand. Because when God says do something, you do it, not schedule an appointment for later in the month.

So I began calling. The first church I had to leave a message, no answer, no reply.

Nope.

The second church they said we would need to schedule an appointment and it would be a while.

Nope.

The third church, which happened to be a sister church to the one I attended, said… “Yes, Come this Sunday for service and we will get her baptized in Jesus’ Name!” Finally! it was all falling into place.

So on Sunday, we grabbed the directions and headed to the church which was about an hour or so away. It was me, her, my son and her son. We arrived at the church and I noticed for the first time the name of the church. Ministries of Truth. God has such a sense of humor. Here I am trying to minister the truth and God chooses this church.

Upon arriving, we enter and are ushered in and to a pew, as the choir was just standing and service was beginning. Then something amazing happened… This choir who knew nothing about us or why we were there, began, for their first song, to sing a song which incorporated the Isaiah 9:6 scripture. I looked at V. and she looked at me and we both, upon realizing, just chuckled. And then I whispered… I told you, “With two or more witnesses, His word will be established.”

This was the third time God had come to her with this same scripture. First time He came was through me, second through the Christmas card and third through the choir. God is so amazing… And sure, it was Christmas, so that scripture would come up often at that time, if you are a skeptic.  But even more amazing and for further confirmation, for the skeptics out there, was when the choir sat down and the pastor stood up and said, “Please open your bibles to 2 Corinthians 13:1 Then He began to read…‘This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses, shall every word be established.’ Yes, that is the scripture the pastor read, soomeone who didn’t know us from Adam. Someone who didn’t know our agenda or the scriptures having been discussed. Had no clue that I had been speaking those same words So tell me, did you just get chills or what? My sister-friend and I looked at each other amazed and giddy at the wonder of God and how He was so clearly speaking! Needless to say, when they asked if anyone wanted to be baptized in Jesus’ Name, she stood up and pulled her son up and they were both baptized in Jesus’ Name that very hour. Amen!

Upon getting back to the house I was sooooo happy and excited and began to call everyone I knew. “Saying, V. Just got baptized in Jesus’ Name. She is born again, a babe in Christ!”

It was at this moment when I heard the angel’s voice from in the dream. She said, “remember the dream.” And I recognized the voice and realized that the reason the angel came as a babe was because that was part of the message, my sister was a new babe in Christ. Then I began to count the days from when I arrived to the day I was to leave that following day… it was five days. This is what the angel in my dream meant when she said I had 5 days to get things right. Man, God is so AMAZING!! Now tell me that didn’t give you chills!

When I returned home, I told the story to my paratransit driver the next time I saw him. Needless to say, he was as amazed and astonished as I was at how the whole thing worked out. We both agreed that indeed there are angels who guide us and protect us. He also added that he was glad to know I wasn’t going to die in five days like I initially thought. Ha! Amen!
